Tribal museum in Muang Sing
The small museum had a collection of photographs, hand tools, dresses, models and paintings on display. These artifacts explain
the traditions, cultures and drvelopment of various tribal peoples living in that area.
A scene from Muang Sing - Muang Lone road
At the Muang Sing bus station across the dirt road from the market I spent 2 hours waiting for the enough passengers to get
the truck move. The highway from Muang Sing to Muang Lone is mostly dirt earthern road. The road passes villages and paddy fields between
forested hills. There was no other foreign tourists on the truck.

The truck got stuck in the mud many times. Passeners had to get down and push the truck out of the mud pool.
However the beautiful scenes of the farms and mountains made me feel forget about all these troubles.
After all everyone was bearing the trouble together. It was normal for the local people and they were able to go on with and overcome these
inconveniences.

At Muang Lone market
I was to take this bus to continue to Xiengkok on the Mekong river bank. It was already full with goods and traders who were going to sell their products in
Xieng Kok market day the next day. There was no seats to sit since all seats were under the boxes, baskets and bags of products.
All together about 10 people including me shared the small bus with the loads of bags on the muddy, bumpy dirt road to the border town.
